    Dec. 2006:

For the last few years have been creating a baseball/sports card style file with pictures of each entry on the World Air Forces lists. Have now done all but Great Britain, Russia, United States (Air Force, Navy), Pre 1945 Germany. The lists have mainly been updated to 2004. With recent developments in my job moving to Honolulu in the near future things have been slow of late.

    2001

The most obvious change is a move to a new Domain Name "worldairforces". I have partnered with another gentleman who also has a World Air Forces site. He is more of a webmaster than am I obviously. So hopefully in the future we will have a nice new site. More attractive than mine has been, with a lot more features as time goes by.
I have added my World Aircraft Manufactures Genealogy section. I have tried to make sense of all the second hand information I've gotten over the years to make it easier to understand how the industry has evolved. The main reason I started this genealogy was some aircraft I've seen with 4 different company names. In my lists I have chosen one company name to be carried by a aircraft through all the lists. As a general rule have tried to use yellow as indicating that they have aircraft used in these lists. Just a white label means they don't have any aircraft in this site or used by the military. Obtaining the Domain name and a partner has pushed me into getting this out a little sooner than I had hoped so allot more information will be added in the future to each company. Will also add a source section for companies that have books about them. All comments are welcomed in trying to make it a better presentation of each company's history.
In the aircraft list section have added a "|" at the end of each entry that has been updated. So if you visit and have seen or used the list before you will only have to look at the updated entries for changes instead of the whole list. Being a pilot this method has been used in my manuals so you can see quickly what is new.
I have updated all the country lists and the new companies sections. The aircraft lists for selected countries has not been updated and well as the links section. I have found allot of the links dead lately and will try to get this section updated. I have left (404) links listed because sometimes searching the web you can find where its moved, if its not a dead source.
My lists were started to be able to get information that wasn't readily available on the market. So I listed it as smaller/lesser known AF's of the world. In keeping with the new Domain name have added pages for Great Britain, USSR/Russia and the USA. These pages only contain book sources for the same information found in my listing of the other countries. With these books I have been able to find the same information that I have included with my listing of other countries.
Also wish to acknowledge the help over the years of Jim Sanders and the Small Air Forces Observer and the contacts I've made through this group. Small Air Forces Clearing House, 27965 Berwick Dr. Carmel, CA 93923  website www.bartoli.com/safo
I'm looking for experts in different counties/companies/aircraft that can correct mistakes and at the start of each year tell which aircraft are still current. I've found over the years most publications keep listing aircraft because "wfu" withdrawn from use aircraft usually are not highly publicized.
